Visit to CK Birla Hospital

One of the focus areas of YFLO Delhi this year is on the most important, yet most easily ignored the aspect of a woman’s life: her health. One of the key initiatives in this direction was a visit to the CK Birla Hospital for women, a multi-speciality hospital committed to the care of women. Ms. Avanti Birla, Promoter of the CK Birla hospital for women opened its doors to members of YFLO and walked them through of the facilities, which are based on international standards and protocols.

A free comprehensive breast cancer awareness program was also arranged for the YFLO members. It was an eyeopener to learn that how one in every 22 women is likely to develop breast cancer during her lifetime. Of these 1 in 2 may not survive due to lack of awareness and the absence of proper breast cancer screening program.
