Unleash the Designer in You

The first event organized by FLO North East Chapter New Committee 2013 – 2014 “UNLEASH THE DESIGNER IN YOU” with leading Interior Designer Ms. Basobi Bose was held on the 8th May, 2013, at Guwahati Gymkhana Club from 3.30 pm onwards.

Smita Agarwal, Vice Chairperson started the event by inviting Chairperson Monisha Baruwa and Special guest for the event Ms. Basobi Bose on the dais. Ms. Bose was felicitated with a silk scarf. Smita Agarwal then introduced Basobi Bose to the excited gathering of members and guests.

Basobi Bose is one of the leading Designers in North East and her versatile work projects includes restaurants, hotels, residences, bungalows etc. Her wide spread clientele spreads across North East, Delhi , Kolkata and Mumbai. She was also involved in Bollywood set design projects. She has been in this business of interiors for nearly 15 years now. Her signature projects sparks a lot of interest and she is one of the most sought after designers.

After the introduction of Basobi Bose, Chairperson Monisha Baruwa addressed the members and guests by thanking all for gracing the occasion in such good numbers and hoped the trend would continue. She also spoke about her association with Basobi Bose and memories of when they were in school together and the latter’s initial struggle days while setting up her work .She spoke about the upcoming projects / events of FLO NE Chapter and requested all the members present to support in numbers.

Chief Guest Basobi Bose was invited to the podium to share her experiences and have an interactive session with the members and guests. Basobi Bose started by giving a brief background of herself and her varied experiences of handling different projects. She spoke on personal residence and in specific to the bedroom. She enlightened all with lay outs, handling of space, organizing, planning etc.

The interactive session was very interesting and there was a lot of questions from the audience in terms of vastu, colors, lay outs, planning, kitchens, latest trends, market availability, costs of designing etc The endless session went off for a good on hour.

The event concluded with vote of thanks by Smita Agarwal followed by high tea.
