Tree Plantation Drive at Jaipur National University

In a remarkable initiative towards environmental sustainability, FLO Jaipur, under the visionary leadership of Chairperson Ms. Raghushree Poddar successfully organised a tree plantation drive at Jaipur National University (JNU). This event was a part of the chapter’s broader vision of planting 1,111 trees across the region, contributing to a greener and healthier environment.

Key Highlights:

● Plantation of 300 Trees: A total of 300 trees were planted on the campus of Jaipur National University
● Warm Welcome: The event commenced with a welcome from the students of Jaipur National University, who warmly greeted Ms. Raghushree Poddar, along with FLO committee members and other FLO members
● Felicitation Ceremony: Dr. Preeti Bakshi, Executive Director of Jaipur National University, graciously facilitated Ms. Raghushree Poddar. In a heartwarming gesture, Ms. Poddar reciprocated by honoring Dr. Bakshi with a beautifully handcrafted bouquet. Her immense support in providing the venue.
● Educational and Motivational Speeches: Both Ms. Raghushree Poddar and Dr. Preeti Bakshi delivered educational and inspiring speeches, emphasising the importance of sustainability and the positive impact of actions.
● Recognition of Support: Special recognition was given to Ms. Aruna Singh, a dedicated FLO member whose invaluable support was instrumental in the successful execution of the plantation drive. Her contribution, along with the collective effort of the FLO team, was key in ensuring the smooth organization of the event.
● Cultural Highlight: The event also featured a moving performance by one of the university’s faculty members, who sang a soul-stirring song about life cycle and Mother Earth.
● Hi-tea Session and Closing: The participants enjoyed a Hi-tea session, with food boxes being distributed to the students by the Executive Committee. The event culminated with the planting of 300 trees, thanks to the collective effort of everyone. The day concluded with beautiful photographs.

This successful initiative was a collaborative effort between FLO Jaipur Chapter and Jaipur National University. The support of Dr. Preeti Bakshi, Executive Director of JNU, was invaluable, as she facilitated the use of the university grounds and provided continuous encouragement throughout the event. Additionally, FLO member Ms. Aruna Singh played an great role in coordinating efforts, ensuring that the plantation drive was smoothly executed. The plantation drive was a resounding success as 200 students from Jaipur National University, including the faculty members who actively participated in the plantation drive were benefited through this drive.
