The moderated session on dynamic leadership, focusing on persistence, resilience, and growth, was conducted to empower aspiring women entrepreneurs and FLO Chennai members. The event was skilfully moderated by Mr. Rajiv Lochan, MD and CEO of Sundaram Finance Ltd., and featured Mr. K. Annamalai, a prominent political figure and former Deputy Commissioner of Police. Mr Annamalai’s extensive background spans from his role as Karnataka’s ‘Singham’ to his current position as State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu, as well as his leadership in various initiatives like We The Leaders Foundation.

During the session, Mr. Annamalai shared insights from his journey, including his transition from a successful career in civil service to political leadership. He emphasized the value of stepping out of one’s comfort zone and the importance of resilience in effecting meaningful change. His perspective on leadership highlighted that success is less about individual accolades and more about the collective effort to drive societal progress. Annamalai’s vision for India included empowering women as leaders, citing their skills in time management, resourcefulness, and empathy as critical to effective leadership.
