Together We Rise: 40th Annual Session & Change of Guard

The 40th Annual Session of FICCI FLO was held on March 29 & 30, 2024, with a day of presentations by Chapter Chairs and Heads of National Initiatives on March 28, 2024, providing a comprehensive review of the work done in 2023-24. The Change of Guard for 19 FLO Chapters and 4 YFLO Chapters also took place on this day.

On March 29, 2024, the 40th Annual Session was graced by Shri Anurag Thakur, Hon’ble Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, and Minister of Information and Broadcasting. In his address, he emphasized the importance of women's participation in economic development,\ highlighting the Government’s priority to empower women, address their concerns, and amplify their voices. He also lauded India's growing start-up ecosystem, with 1.2 lakh start-ups and 110 Unicorns, noting that women's contribution would be crucial as India moves towards becoming the 3rd largest economy in the world.

Sudha Shivkumar, the 40th National President of FICCI FLO, presented her work in 2023-24, showcasing the organization's achievements and initiatives.

Five publications were released during the event:
– FLO Annual Report
– 40-year Commemorative book
– FLO Unsung Impactpreneurs
– Study in collaboration with RBI Innovation Hub on the Need for Affordable Finance for Women Entrepreneurs, Especially Homepreneurs, in Tier 2/3 Cities
– Policy Whitepaper on Care Economy – “Caring for Tomorrow: Formulating Policies to Address Gender Gaps in Care Work”

The event also included Chapter Awards and awards to various National Initiatives Heads, recognizing their contributions and achievements.
