Time was to revive the roots of folk music in all of us and specially when we are staying in the colorful state of Rajasthan where music is the soul of every occasion, ceremony, marriage, or any kind of celebration.

Ila Arun was invited to be our special guest at the FLO,Jaipur on 30th January,2012 at Hotel Royal Orchid at 4.00 to 6.00 p.m.. Ila Arun is a popular Indian actress, TV personality and a Rajasthani folk/folk-pop singer with a unique, husky voice and a penchant for folk-pop fusion The event was attended by a large no.of members and their guests. She talked about her carrier, her connection with Jaipur, her forthcoming projects etc. She also showed the clipping of her recent work which was really liked by the members.

While talking about the existence of folk music, she urged the parents to encourage their children to opt for it and try mixing it with pop and other forms.

She also spoke about her daughter Ishita Arun who is a coming up theatre artist. Her talk on how she brought her daughter up with a blend of modern and traditional values touched almost every woman in the audience.

Last but not the least her command over the language and expressions made this a memorable event. The press showed an active interest in this event. On her arrival she was welcomed by the Chairperson Mrs Nidhie Data.
