From Thread to Triumph – Sustainable Fashion Journeys

YFLO Hyderabad hosted a sustainable fashion workshop on October 24th, 2024, in collaboration with Roots College of Design and Media, titled “From Thread to Triumph: Sustainable Fashion Journeys”. The event attracted over 80 aspiring designers and fashion enthusiasts, exploring eco-conscious practices, ethical production, and the future of fashion.

The workshop featured two trailblazers in sustainable design: Riddhi Mehta, founder of Simple City, and Ankita Bhuraria, founder of Leisure Loom. The session aimed to equip young designers with tools for embracing sustainability and shaping a fashion future that respects both artistry and the environment.

Riddhi Mehta highlighted the importance of sustainable materials and processes in creating purpose-driven brands. She demonstrated how eco-conscious decisions throughout the design and production stages are a strategic advantage, resonating with today’s consumer demand for sustainable options. Her session included a live garment showcase, illustrating the harmony between fashion and sustainability.
