THE PINK LOTUS : a breast cancer awareness endeavor.

The citizens of Ludhiana saw ‘The Pink Lotus’ bloom as they bedecked the dazzling fashion show conducted by the FICCI Ladies Organization, Ludhiana chapter, in association with Lakme Salon and Orra for sensitizing the city towards breast cancer and saluting the spirit of its survivors and fighters. Aptly termed the pink lotus, this show was a celebration of the courage with which, the breast cancer patients fight the deadly disease and the positivity with which they are ready to begin life again….. in short bloom like the lotus in all adverse condition.

Mrs. Harmala Gupta, founder and President, CanSupport Organization, pioneer in starting cancer support services in new delhi and a Cancer survivor herself, the dynamic CEOs Mr. Pushkar Raj Of Lakme and Mr. Vijay Jain of ORRA were the guests of honour, who by gracing the event, made it more meaningful.

The show saw FLO members walking proud and tall on the ramp, looking stunning sporting Namratajoshipura’s and monikachaudhary’s fashion collection, Namratajoshipura being a Pinkathon runner and supporting the cause every year and Monika Chaudhary being a breast cancer survivor herself.

The highlight of the show was the ‘Breast Cancer March’, where the real time cancer survivors glorified the ramp and lit it up by their spirit and soul. It was a sensitive, graceful, compassionate evening, saluting the fighters and creating awareness through ‘the pink glove dance’ a breast cancer ballad and numerous videos in between the show of real stories narrated by various patients across the globe.
