Tandrust Punjab: Lohri Mela – Celebrating Culture, Health, and Community Empowerment

FLO Amritsar organized the Lohri Mela that featured a Mega Free Medical Camp, in collaboration with Wadala Foundation, World Cancer Care, OTT Transformative Trust, Preet Hospital Amritsar, Carewell Heart & Super Speciality Hospital, Amritsar, KMAXX American Hospital Amritsar. The Lohri Mela offered healthcare services to rural subaltern communities, from Bhitewad Wadala & surrounding villages including consultations, diagnostics, and free medicines.

The event combined the festive spirit of Lohri with the objectives of healthcare access and community empowerment. 600+ patients examined across various specialties. 300+ free spectacles were distributed following eyesight testings, 32 Mammography, 24 PAP smear tests, and Diagnostic tests including BP, Sugar, ECG, and Bone Density screenings, oral cancer screenings, and educational videos promoting cancer awareness were also done.

The event received support from Subsidiary Health Centre Wadala Bhitewad to ensure the smooth execution of the medical services provided during the camp.
