SWAYAM: Mushroom Culture

20 women from Nallambakkam village were trained in Mushroom cultivation. They were taught the methods to grow edible mushrooms in an organic manner. Easy, small scale cultivation methods were taught and the participants have been encouraged to grow and harvest them. These women have been provided with spawns free of cost and have also been assured marketing assistance once they want to sell the mushrooms.
