Under Sustain Her Health Initiative , FLO Hyderabad organized a Menstrual Health Camp at Petlaburj Maternity Hospital. FLO Hyderabad Chairperson Ms. Ritu Shah and Superintendent Doctor in the Hospital Dr. Malathy, stressed on the importance of menstrual hygiene, especially on ways and means to keep up one’s own body during the menstrual cycle and sanitation for the overall well-being of new mothers.
Ms. Sweta Mohanty (IAS), Commissioner Health & Family Welfare, Government of Telangana was the Chief Guest.
The event was attended by over 300 expectant mothers in the area who were keen about novel methods of sanitation and given a demo on how the sanitary pad vending machine and incinerators work. Other doctors and staff in the Hospital had also attended the event to know more about new developments in menstrual hygiene.
FLO Hyderabad donated 10 vending machines and 2 incinerators in the Hospital, distributed 3000 sanitary pads to the expectant mothers and gifted a Mom & Baby gift bundle to about 85 new mothers in the maternity ward.
