Successful Plantation Drive at Gram Panchayat Dantli Village

Under the visionary leadership of Ms. Raghushree Poddar, Chairperson, FLO Jaipur continues to expand its green initiative through a plantation drive at Gram Panchayat Dantli Village, Sanganer Tehsil on August 30th, 2024. This drive is part of an ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability in the region and aims to engage local communities and institutions to work towards a greener future. The event marks the second day of the initiative with a goal of planting 1,111 trees to enhance the green cover of the region and foster ecological awareness.

50 saplings were planted to contribute to the green infrastructure of Gram Panchayat Dantli. 70 saplings were planted, focusing on beautification and environmental improvement of Shamshan Ghat of Dantli and 30 saplings were planted, aimed at raising environmental awareness among students and improving the school surroundings of Government Senior Secondary School Dantli.

Key Highlights:

● 150 Trees Planted: With active participation from various stakeholders, 150 trees were successfully planted in different parts of the village.
● Community Participation: The drive saw enthusiastic participation from FLO executive committee members, FLO members, students and teachers from Swami Keshwanand Institute of Technology Management (SKIT), gram panchayat team and children from nearby schools.
● Youth Involvement: 300 students from SKIT and several students from schools in Dantli village took part in the drive, ensuring that young minds are engaged.
● Appreciation and Recognition: Certificates of appreciation were distributed to SKIT students for their invaluable contributions to the event.
● Sarpanch Participation: The Sarpanch of Dantli Village graced the event, extending his gratitude to the FLO Jaipur team and acknowledging their efforts.

This initiative directly benefited 300 SKIT students, who gained insights into environmental sustainability. The local community also stood to benefit from the\ enhanced green cover, cleaner air, and improved aesthetics as the newly planted saplings mature. The event saw enthusiastic participation from various stakeholders, including FLO Executive Committee members, SKIT faculty and students, and local community members, including the Sarpanch. Chairperson Ms. Raghushree Poddar emphasised the ongoing commitment of FLO Jaipur to environmental sustainability and expressed gratitude to all participants. The initiative is a vital step towards achieving the goal of planting 1,111 trees across Jaipur.
