Startup Spotlight Beachville Coffee Roasters

FLO Chennai organized an inspiring Startup Spotlight event under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Divya Abhishek and Ms. Priya Goutham as the Start-Up Vertical Head on November 8th, 2024. The event, held in association with Beachville Coffee Roasters, provided a unique platform for startup entrepreneurs and coffee enthusiasts to connect and explore the intricacies of “Building a Coffee Trail” and the art of creating a memorable coffee experience.

Ms. Divya Jayashankar, representing Beachville Coffee Roasters, shared her journey into the coffee industry and her vision to elevate coffee culture through quality and creativity. Sourced from the renowned Ratnagiri Estate, Beachville’s coffee embodies a commitment to high standards, which Ms. Divya explained with passion. She treated participants to a tasting of Beachville’s black coffee, followed by a second sample, allowing them to experience subtle flavor variations.

Ms. Deepa from Shambala Estate spoke about the history of the coffee plantations and the various facilities offered at Shambala Resorts. This was followed by a moderated session with both Ms. Divya and Ms. Deepa from Shambala, where the moderator Ms. Priya Goutham engaged in a lively discussion about the future of coffee and brand-building. Attendees were curious about topics like the use of chicory, flavored coffee which is the addition of essences to enhance coffee powder, and the impact of environmental changes on coffee quality. Ms. Divya and Ms. Deepa shared their insights on these subjects, and Ms. Deepa addressed questions on handling feedback and maintaining brand integrity in a competitive market.

The successful event concluded, leaving participants inspired and more connected to both the coffee industry and the spirit of startup innovation.
