Shakti Srijan

The FLO Kolkata Skilling Initiative “ Shakti Srijan” was led by Bhawani Bansal. She focused on empowering 15 young girls by teaching them how to make flowers and placemats using accessible materials like jute.

This project equipped the girls with valuable skills, enabling them to earn a livelihood through handmade items. Introducing them to entrepreneurship helps the initiative to build financial independence and self-confidence while promoting sustainable crafts.

For FLO Kolkata, the project is deeply fulfilling, as it not only imparts technical skills but also empowers these young girls to envision a brighter future. The event was a resounding success as it had a lasting social impact by fostering independence and inspiring others in the community.
