Saree Day Celebration

Under the leadership of Chairperson Nalini Sanwal, FLO Kanpur celebrated Saree Day, under the National Initiative – Fashion and Jewellery vertical. The event featured a special interaction with Guest of Honor Gaurang Shah, a national award-winning artisan renowned for his mastery of weaves and passion for traditional textiles. This celebration brought together FLO members to honor the beauty and cultural significance of sarees and was joined by 150 members.

The event was curated by Vice Chair Ankita Garg, and core team members Mani, Pankhuri, Manisha, Shilpa, and Radhika who played a pivotal role in the planning, creativity, and seamless execution of the event. Swanky Gupta efficiently managed the registrations desk, ensuring a smooth process for all attendees. The event was also joined by Past Chairperson Pooja Gupta and FLO Lucknow’s Past Chairperson Archana Khaitan lending their support and encouragement.

The Saree Day celebration emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting traditional Indian textiles. The interaction with Gaurang Shah inspired members to appreciate the craftsmanship behind sarees and support the artisans who keep this heritage alive.

Chairperson Nalini Sanwal expressed her pride in the chapter’s ability to come together to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage. She encouraged continued efforts to support initiatives under the Fashion and Textile vertical and promote traditional artistry.
