Sanitary Pad Vending Machine Installation at MPGI under Project Pankh

Under the aegis of Project Pankh, FLO Kanpur took a significant step towards promoting menstrual hygiene by installing a sanitary pad vending machine at MPGI. This initiative, under the National Initiative – Rural Livelihood and Entrepreneurship, underscores our commitment to creating a healthier and more informed environment for women. Over 150 students, comprising MBA and Engineering scholars, attended the event and benefited from the informative and interactive session.

The event was graced by Dr. Priyanka Bhargava as the Chief Guest, whose expertise and dedication to women’s health inspired all present. Our Chairperson Nalini Sanwal presided over the occasion, alongside Parul Rajoriya and Alcka Kapoor, who chaired the event.

Dr. Bhargava delivered a powerful talk covering essential topics such as menstrual hygiene practices, cervical cancer awareness and vaccination, hormonal imbalances, and related health issues. The Q&A session allowed students to voice their concerns and seek guidance. FLO members Dolly Thapar and Vinita Sharma extended their support by attending the event.

The installation of the sanitary pad vending machine and the awareness session together marked the empowerment of young women with access to better menstrual health resources and knowledge.
