Rural Livelihood – Garima 3.0

FLO Vadodara launched the 3rd edition of the continued project under the initiative of Rural Livelihood along with Skiling, titled “Garima 3.0” on October 24th, 2024. The session aims at educating and creating awareness among young rural girls on menstrual hygiene and well-being along with teaching the skill of Warli Art on Envelopes. The members volunteer and are given specific roles.

Key highlights:

  • Explained about menstrual hygiene, emphasising how, why, and when it occurs in a girl’s life.
  • Educated the girls on the correct usage of sanitary pads and disposal of sanitary pads.
  • Information on the biodegradability of pads and encouraging eco-friendly practices was provided.
  • Craft activity of teaching Warli Art on envelopes that became a skill-building activity.
  • Providing a year-long supply of bio-degradable sanitary napkins, food packets, and gift hampers per child.
  • Government interfaces & tangible outcomes.
  • Factory visits and collaboration that focuses on objectives & outcomes.
