FLO Jaipur, under the dynamic leadership of Chairperson Ms. Raghushree Poddar, celebrated India’s Republic Day with a contribution towards the handloom and handicraft sector. The event, hosted in collaboration with REME, took place at Sapna Bunkar Kendra in Malviya Nagar, Jaipur, and aimed at honoring the rich heritage of Indian textiles while empowering local artisans through skill development, sustainable practices, and business opportunities.
The primary objective of this initiative was to empower artisans by offering them regular employment and training opportunities, promote sustainability within the textile sector, specifically focusing on eco-friendly practices, preserve and promote Rajasthan’s traditional textiles and handicrafts and provide a platform for artisans to showcase their craftsmanship, ensuring their work receives recognition and broader market reach.

● Adoption of Sapna Bunkar Kendra – FLO Jaipur, in partnership with REME, formally adopted the center, ensuring long-term employment, training, and business opportunities for local artisans.
● Felicitation of Skilled Artisans – Recognizing the dedication of 11 exceptional artisans, they were honored with trophies and blankets for their craftsmanship and contributions to India’s artistic legacy.
● Promotion of Sustainability – FLO members toured the center, witnessing the making of handwoven sarees and recycled plastic mats, promoting eco-friendly textile practices.
This initiative directly benefited local artisans by providing them with a platform for recognition, consistent livelihood opportunities, and sustainable growth. The center’s adoption ensures that artisans receive continuous training.
