We had an amazing session REINVENT YOURSELF with DR. RAJDEEP MANWANI. Something we all tend to forget in our daily lives , where by every moment around us is not a repeat of the one that has passed. It smacks of its uniqueness , it’s originality & curiosity , but we tend to miss it . So let’s not be pushed around by the fears in our minds. Let’s be led by the dreams in our hearts. As someone said famously ‘I am still making order out of chaos by reinvention.” Sometimes you need to kind of rise, from your own ashes to believe in your real self.
So friends, When life gives you lemons & oranges, squirt someone in the eye & wink .
Mr. Rajdeep Manwani gave very applicable mantras of leading a happy life and attaining success. He took us through his life’s journey and gave examples of great achievers. His way of connecting to his audience was outstanding humorous; meaningful and philosophical !He started by talking about taking responsibility of your own life rather than blaming others .
He introduced the concept of Internal Locus of Control which is your ability to take control of what is happening on your life .The greatest trait of Internal locus of control is reinventing yourself when you have a shift in your control which is called your ever since moment .
He gave examples of Rahul Dravid, Gandhi ji and Mother Teresa. What can’t you do in one life? If we squeeze lemon we get lemon juice .. if we Squeeze orange we will get orange juice .. when life squeezes you whatever is there comes out . It’s what inside you comes out when pressure is applied. So we must introspect ourselves .
Crossing the imaginary line .Between 31/35 kms many marathon runners leave the race as they are totally exhausted. But champions think, let me pick myself for another 10 mins . This is point of discrimination where we take a decision to move further ahead and we are able to cross the imaginary finishing line . It may be education, career or relationships. When u cross this the nature helps not to tumble you but to humble you .
He started talking about his own life when he was rejected for job by 16 colleges for not able see , as he had lost his sight, and he was totally dejected . His mother told him you may have lost the spark of your eyes but don’t let anyone take away the spark of your heart . That was his point of discrimination and he crossed his finishing line and was victorious.
He said we should never beg in front of God .Our prayers should only be for gratitude and glorification .
He gave examples of Amitabh Bachchan Ji and Sachin Tendulkar, how they went beyond their finishing lines and came victorious. Every person’s finishing line is different .
Unflinching commitment. He gave varied examples of how we put our alarms on snooze ; how the gym is full on 2nd January . How he was a Hindi medium student till 3rd and later selected for inter school English debate .
how he improved his lectures by understanding the success mantra of chicken soup for the soul writer . The mantra is to be committed to whatever you have promised to do . When you fall in your eyes ; you are doing the biggest psychological damage . Your subconscious revolts against you if you don’t live up to your commitment. If u promise something to someone, don’t do it for him, do it for yourself . The harder you work, the luckier you get . God doesn’t work for you, God works with you.
