Keeping in mind the safety of women at workplace and in commemoration of the Global 16 days Campaign against Gender-based Violence, on 8th December 2020, FLO organised ‘A POSH Training workshop’ for college students, an awareness workshop on Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the workplace for women, under the leadership of FLO National President, Jahnabi Phookan and taken forward by the initiative head and FLO Kanpur Chapter Chairperson, Dr Aarti Gupta.
Dr. Aarti Gupta, Chapter Chair Flo Kanpur and National Initiative Head, Safety & Sensitization Programs, and her team facilitated the session. The objective was to spread awareness on prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace.
It was an Interactive Online Workshop conducted by Ms Hima Bisht, who heads training & workforce development at MitKat Advisory services, exclusively for college students from cities across 17 chapters of FLO. The programme aims to create awareness amongst college students who will be ready to join their respective work field soon.
The workshop is free of cost and spread across an hour covering all topics related to sexual harassment at workplace- the law, the history, the definitions, how to recognize behaviour, how to file complaints, different bodies & committees involved, evidence required to complain, timelines to be adhered to, expectations & compensations as well.
