A Plantation Drive was successfully held at Mayoor School Jaipur on August 29th, 2024. Led by Ms Raghusgree Poddar, Chairperson of FLO Jaipur, the event marks a key milestone in FLO Jaipur’s commitment to environmental sustainability, as part of a larger initiative to plant 1,111 trees across the region.
The event is part of a broader mission to foster environmental responsibility and increase green cover across Jaipur. It also aligns with FLO’s dedication to promoting sustainability alongside women’s empowerment.
Key Highlights:
– 150 Trees Planted: The participants, including members and students, planted 150 trees, contributing significantly to the local green cover.
– Self-Defence Session: Mayoor School Jaipur added a unique element by organising a special session on ‘self-defence’, empowering women with practical safety skills.
– Guest of Honor: The event was graced by Ms. Neeta Boochra, Founder of FLO Jaipur, who, along with Ms. Raghushree Poddar, facilitated Mr. Raj Kumar Kandoi, Director of Mayoor School Jaipur, for their unwavering support and collaboration.
The students and staff were the primary beneficiaries with around 200 students directly participating and members benefiting from the informative self-defence session, gaining valuable knowledge and skills while participating in environmental stewardship, fostering a sense of responsibility and engagement with the community.
The plantation drive was joined by FLO Jaipur Executive Committee Members, FLO Community Members, and the Mayoor School Jaipur students and staff.
Participants worked together in planting the trees, marking the event as both educational and collaborative. With initiatives like these, FLO Jaipur continues to inspire others to contribute to a greener and safer world.
