Plantation Drive and Digital Lab Launch at Govt Upper Primary School

FLO Jaipur, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Raghushree Poddar, organised a plantation drive at Govt Upper Primary School, Badbaldevpura on September 18th, 2024. This event marked the continuation of the chapter’s commitment to promoting environmental sustainability while also supporting educational growth in rural communities. The school is under an initiative of Finolex Industries' CSR project, highlighting their dedication to supporting education in rural areas. About 100 students from Govt Upper Primary School, Badbaldevpura were beneficiaries of this initiative.

Key Highlights:

● Planting of 25 Trees: A total of 25 trees were planted at the school.
● Digital Lab Launch: In collaboration with Dotsquares and with support from Executive Committee member Ms. Suruchi Dhoot, a digital lab was launched by donating two computers to the school.
● Solar Panel Installation: Thanks to the efforts of Executive Committee member Ms. Neha Maheshwary, the school also received a solar panel installation. This marks the third solar panel installed by FLO Jaipur in its ongoing efforts to promote renewable energy resources in schools.
● Long-Term Vision: The digital lab will be a vital resource for students to develop their digital literacy, preparing them for the future. The solar panel and tree plantation efforts promote environmental awareness among students and the broader community.
● Impact: The plantation drive saw enthusiastic participation from members, the Executive Committee, and the school staff. The children actively participated, learning about the importance of both environmental conservation and digital education and it ensures that students from all backgrounds will have access to technology and the opportunity to develop skills.

In this event, Dotsquares contributed to the launch of the digital lab by donating two computers, Ms. Suruchi Dhoot supported the lab initiative, while Ms. Neha Maheshwary sponsored the installation of the solar panel. Ms. Ruchikka Dhoot played a pivotal role in organising the distribution of food boxes for this event to be a success.
