The Vice-President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, hosted a delegation of 30 distinguished women entrepreneurs from FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Chennai Chapter at his residence in New Delhi. Led by Chairperson CMA.CA.CS Divya Abhishek, the delegation engaged in a professional and insightful dialogue focusing on critical issues of women’s empowerment and societal progress.
During the meeting, Shri Dhankhar commended the professionalism and dedication of FLO Chennai members in advocating for women’s rights. He emphasized the importance of their role in empowering meritorious girls facing financial and societal challenges, highlighting the significant impact of such support on family and societal growth. Drawing attention to India’s advancements in women-led empowerment, he expressed pride in the nation’s first tribal woman President, Draupadi Murmu, as a symbol of India’s commitment to gender equality.
The Vice-President encouraged FICCI FLO members to leverage their influence within their families and corporate networks to drive CSR initiatives focused on empowering girls from underserved communities.
