Nepal Relief

FICCI FLO North East Chapters members rose to the occasion to give aid to the Nepal Quake survivors. The devastating earthquake that shook Nepal on 25th April, killing more than 7000 people and injuring more than twice as many, was the most powerful disaster to strike Nepal since 1934 Nepal-Bihar earthquake.

Truckloads of aid was despatched to Nepal through the logistics support of SashastraSeema Bal under Ministry of Home Affairs. Members played a crucial role in mobilising the goods comprising of essentials like rice, dal, sugar, tea, salt, oil, blankets, clothes, utensils, food items, tents, baby food etc

A charitable Musical Nite was organised at the GMC Auditorium, Guwahati, on the 10th May, 2015, with melodious renditions by leading singers along with SSB Central Jazz Band from HQ Delhi. This venue was also the collection point for willing donors to come and deposit their aid.

The key takeaway was the discovery of the humaneness and generosity of the members and it proved that in any crisis and need of hour, FLO NE shall stand united in its efforts and be able to deliver.
