Mushroom Cultivation Training

The 2nd phase of training village women in Mushroom Cultivation was started in the regions of Beharbari, Beltola, Ghuramara, and Chandan Nagar in the North East Chapter with a batch of 25 women each.

After the training is completed, the women can grow the mushrooms by themselves. With an investment of a mere 50 rupees, they can make mushrooms that sell at 250 to 300 rupees per kg.

This is a truly low-maintenance and investment project, that can make rural women financially strong. These programs have been made possible through the invaluable support of the Mukul Madhav Foundation and Yuva Vikash Kendra. These training initiatives are a crucial part of our ongoing commitment to promoting self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods
within rural communities.

Mushroom cultivation offers a promising opportunity for income
generation, particularly in regions like Assam. They are confident that the knowledge and skills provided to the participants will help them achieve economic empowerment.
