MSME Conclave 2024 Power to Empower

FICCI FLO Mumbai Chapter in association with Kalpana Saroj Foundation and Zhep Udyoginichi and World Trade Centre organised MSME CONCLAVE 2024 POWER TO EMPOWER with special focus on empowering women led MSMEs.

The day long conclave had presentations by industry experts and government – ONDC , DGFT, MSSIDC , IDBI , Pay U ,SIDBI , BIS , IIP, INDUSIND , MITCON, SICOM,GEM,UDYAM,SAMHITA on the various schemes that they provide which can be beneficial to the MSMEs in providing financial assistance, Training and various government schemes.

Conclave also had on the spot registration of licenses desk by the government who helped participants to avail the benefit. The Online registration desks set up by ONDC, Samhita , GEM , Udyam Aadhar , Pay U, APEDAAGRO,FASSIC,IIP,PMEGP,CMEGP,DIS,MSME Bharat Manch Bank Finance, WTC,MITCON facilitated the MSMEs for their on board registrations assisting them to immediately start their business pan India. There were more than 300 MSMEs present from various sectors who took advantage of this facility.

The Chief guests of the programme was Mr. Rajesh Mishra , Head of the Office and Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Mumbai Zonal office, DGFT and MSSIDC are the departments that provide the maximum financial assistance and support under the various government schemes helping the MSMEs have a financial support while building their businesses. DGFT departments assists them in knowledge on the global market and on the packaging and safety standards and country specific rules that are important when they want to enter overseas markets. Mr. Rajendra Nimbalkar (IAS) – Managing Director, Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation – MSSIDC announced the Raising and Accelerating MSME Productivity (RAMP)” scheme. The scheme aims to scale up the implementation capacity and coverage of MSMEs in the States, with impact enhancement of existing MSME schemes.

The RAMP scheme is an initiative by the Government of India to provide financial assistance and support to MSMEs for enhancing their productivity and competitiveness Mr . Anajni Kumar Srivastava GM Maharashtra State SIDBI addressed the attendees and briefed the, about MICRO Finance facility offered by SIDBI and how entrepreneurs can avail benefits of the same . Mr. Vineet Sethi SVP Pay U India spoke about digitalisation and payment gateway facility for MSMES and how Pay u has ventured into this sector, undersetting the scope and need. Ms. Rupa Naik Executive Director World Trade Centre ,spoke about WTC and its presence across India . She highlighted and requested the government and industry to focus on ease of availability of funds for MSME’S as today that’s their biggest road block and this needs some ease in lending policies. Conclave also had presence Govardhan Farms represented by Ms Rama Singh Durgvanshi who highlighted their work in skilling leading to employment generation.

The motivator Speaker Padmasree Smt. Kalpana Saroj ji who uplifted the mood of all the aspiring MSEME’s by sharing few real life experiences and how “never give up “attitude has helped her to reach where she is today. FLO Mumbai Founder Chair Mumbai and National Past President Ms Kiran Gera spoke about FLO and the impactful work that FLO does Pan India. We also played the Video of Bharat Mandapam highlighting the journey of FLO over last 40 years and the felicitated by the Vice President of India.

The conclave had 2 panel discussions – Panel 1 Export Opportunities & Packaging technologies and Panel 2 – Entrepreneurship & Importance of Finance In these sessions the government and industry experts spoke on the various issues like finance , eligibility , product classification, quality standards , legal and regulatory procedures and provisions , that the MSMEs need to be aware of so that they are on the right path.

The MSME Conclave also had a MSME Star Awards ceremony where 18 MSMES who were judged by a jury on the turnover and uniqueness of their product criteria and felicitated. 5 FLO Mumbai MSME Members were also felicitated in the field of – Fashion Design, IT Software , Nutrition Jewellery.

This conclave had a participation of over 350 MSMEs present who benefitted from hearing the experts speak on topics and issues which are of prime importance today.

The objective of this conclave was to get the government /Industry and MSMES together on the World MSME Day and give opportunity to interact /engage and create awareness amongst participants.

FLO Mumbai under the guidance of National Vertical head MSME Ms. Sucheta Shah successfully concluded the day , impacting 350 plus participants and having 32 dignitaries from government.
