FLO Chennai signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Stella Maris College, Chennai, to provide corporate skills training for 1,000 women students. The initiative, titled the “Campus to Corporate Skilling Programme,” is aimed to prepare young women for industry-ready roles by bridging the gap between academic education and workplace requirements.
The Chairperson Dr. Divya Abhishek, emphasized the organization’s commitment to equipping women students with essential skills that align with industry demands. She highlighted that FLO Chennai is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders and strengthening the workforce with skilled women. Ms Niyati Mehta, Senior Vice Chairperson of FLO Chennai, also supported this initiative.
The Skilling Vertical Head, Ms. Vanitha Venugopal, facilitated discussions with Stella Maris College’s faculty to create a curriculum focused on skill development. The program includes training in areas such as stress management, interview techniques, and professional communication to ensure a smooth transition for students from the academic environment to the corporate world.
The Principal of Stella Maris College, Dr. Sr. Stella Mary FMM, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, acknowledging FLO Chennai’s efforts and the program’s focus on preparing students for successful corporate careers. FLO Chennai also collaborated with an independent knowledge partner to design a specialized certification program that provides additional value to the student’s qualifications.
At the signing ceremony, Chairperson Dr. Divya Abhishek presented an MSME entrepreneurial guide to Dr. Sr. Stella Mary FMM, Principal of Stella Maris College. This handbook is intended to support students interested in entrepreneurship, aligning with the Campus to Corporate Skilling Programme’s goal of preparing women for both corporate roles and entrepreneurial ventures.
