MoA Signing with Ecokonnectors Trust

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between EcoKonnectors Trust, Chennai, and FLO Chennai was executed on September 30th, 2024. The signing was attended by Ms. Divya Abhishek, Chairperson of FLO Chennai, and Ms. Meera Jagdish, the IMPACT – Diversity and Inclusion vertical head from FLO Chennai. Representing EcoKonnectors Trust were Ms. Sumithra Srikant and Ms. Ganga Sridhar.

EcoKonnectors Trust focused on promoting economic independence for adults with special needs through sustainable employment opportunities, has partnered with FLO Chennai, which is dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusiveness. The agreement aims to foster the gainful upskilling and employment of differently-abled and disadvantaged individuals.

FLO Chennai, through this partnership, will connect EcoKonnectors with reliable partner NGOs, source materials, and facilitate job opportunities for differently-abled individuals, particularly in tailoring and related activities. EcoKonnectors will, in turn, assist in skilling these individuals, ensuring fair compensation, and enhancing their earning potential.

The program aims to extend its impact by reaching a larger audience of disadvantaged individuals and leveraging their skills for sustainable livelihoods. This collaboration marks a significant step towards empowering marginalized communities while promoting diversity and inclusion in employment.

The MOA will remain in effect until March 2025, with provisions for possible extensions. Additionally, the agreement addresses confidentiality, indemnity, and dispute resolution, ensuring a fair and cooperative partnership between both parties.
