FLO Kanpur Chapter, in collaboration with Yati Sankalp Sanstha, conducted Project Pankh on May 8th, 2024, at a basti (slum area) behind Aspatal Ghat, as part of their menstrual hygiene awareness drive. The program aimed to empower women and girls in underprivileged communities with knowledge and sustainable menstrual solutions.
The event featured educational sessions led by Dr. Tanusha, a leading gynecologist, on menstrual hygiene practices and government schemes. Sanitary pads were distributed, and menstrual cups were introduced as a sustainable option. Over 60 women and girls participated, highlighting the project’s reach and impact.
This initiative not only promoted better health practices but also fostered environmental consciousness through the concept of “Green Periods.” The collaboration with Yati Sankalp Sanstha and support from Dr. Anuradha Varshney, Neetu Singh, Namrata Garg, Shobha Khemka, Maulishree Jakhodia, and Parul Rajoriya were instrumental in the success of Project Pankh.
