The Master Digital Skills training program, on September 18th, 2024, was a transformative initiative spearheaded by Ridhi Jain, Chairperson of YFLO Hyderabad, aimed at empowering young women at Begumpet Women’s College, Hyderabad. Conducted in collaboration with the Amity Humanity Foundation, this impactful program was part of Digital Literacy Month, reflecting a strong commitment to fostering education and technological empowerment for women.
Over two months, the participants were immersed in a comprehensive digital literacy curriculum. The program is designed to bridge the technological gap, consisting of three sessions per week, with each session lasting two hours. Starting from foundational topics like Introduction to Computers, Operating Systems, and Internet Basics, the students gradually advanced to mastering essential digital tools such as Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Digital Financial Tools.
A key highlight of the program was its practical approach. Through interactive and hands-on sessions, the students not only learned how to navigate the digital world but also how to apply these skills in their day-to-day lives.
Ridhi Jain’s vision for the initiative focused on empowering women with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s world. Her leadership was valuable in ensuring the execution of the program, which aligned with YFLO’s mission of fostering growth and providing meaningful opportunities for women.
The training program culminated in the awarding of Amity certification to 60 participants, marking their successful completion and readiness to embrace the digital future. This certification not only recognised their hard work and dedication but also opened new doors for their personal and professional growth.
This initiative stands as a proud step towards empowering women, helping shape a brighter and more digitally adept future for the participants at Begumpet Women’s College.
