Manav Sadhna Garba

FLO Ahmedabad hosted a special Garba event for 250 ragpickers and 175 Manav Sadhna sisters on October 8th, 2024. Recognising their hard work throughout the year, FLO aimed to include these unsung heroes in the festivities who embody the spirit of the season.

Funded entirely by generous donations from FLO members, the event highlighted the community’s commitment to inclusivity. The lively gathering featured traditional music, dance, and delicious food, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.

This initiative not only celebrated the contributions of ragpickers and Manav Sadhna sisters but also underscored the importance of acknowledging those who often go unrecognised.

Inspired by the event’s success, FLO Ahmedabad plans to continue supporting marginalised communities, ensuring that everyone can partake in the vibrant culture that unites us all.
