LAUNCH OF FLO NORTH EAST CHAPTER

FLO North-east chapter was launched with great aplomb on the 14″Sept 2007 in Guwahati, the gateway to India’s north-east. Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Mr Pradyut

Bordoloi did the honours of inaugurating the chapter in the presence of eminent guests from corporates, business enterprises and NGOs. The institutional heads of NEDFI, FINER, IIE and RGVN, to name a few, also attended the event.

Ms Anjana Somany, past national president FLO, committed towards working with the women weavers in Assam. Thanks goes to our national president Kiran Gera and Rajkumari Saharia and her team from Kolkata who did the groundwork to start this chapter with a bang with a respectable 40 membership strength. Mrs Lalita Jain took over as the first chairperson of the FLO north-east chapter.
