Launch of “WE in Education”

FLO Kolkata launched a successful WE in Education initiative in the esteemed presence of Shri Partha Chatterjee, Education Minister, Govt. of W.B. The Launch was graced by Heads of Educational Institutions, Training Partners, NGO’s, Guests and Members. The enthusiastic response indicated that this initiative is headed in the right direction.

‘WE in Education’ initiative focuses on — Women’s Empowerment – Women’s Employment – Women’s Entrepreneurship — in Education. Through this initiative we hope to increase employment of women in schools in non conventional roles. We have collaborated with driving schools, security agencies and other skill development partners to impart requisite training to women for these jobs. :

With our training partners on board, we can potentially facilitate the training of women for thousands of school jobs as security guards, canteen staff, bus drivers and conductors and administrative posts. The programme has various training agencies who will ready the women and girls for these jobs

The Women Employment in Education initiative for FLO Kolkata chapter is headed by Sunita Kanoria and Sonal Mandal. The WE in Transport is being taken care of by our YFLO Chairperson Shradha Agarwal.
