The landmark event saw the launch of ‘Swayam’, the entrepreneur support cell followed by an interactive session on ‘Challenges faced by Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs’.
In her welcome address, Ms. Sangeeta Jain chairperson FLO Ludhiana Chapter said that Swayam was a transformative initiative which promises to put all the strategies into perspectives for the aspiring student & women entrepreneurs. Most women have great start up ideas but don’t know where to begin. The details & figuring out resources can be challenging. The mandatory factors like funding , branding, human resources being the major hiccups faced by them.
Reena Aggarwal, the Swayam Coordinator delivered a presentation illustrating how Swayam will help the new entrepreneurs to start up their business & the existing ones to restructure theirs.
The keynote speaker Ms. Sharmilee Sagar, an eminent business woman , founder & owner of Elan, shared how her ability to take on any challenge ensured her a prime position among the top interior designers in the country.
A panel of FLO members have offered themselves as business mentors in their industry verticals & expertise. During the event these mentors who included some very accomplished business women like Mrs Rajni Bector, Mrs Mridula Jain, Ms. Sonu Gandhi, Ms.Monika Chowdhary, Ms Swastika Sobti , Ms. Reema Jain, Ms Sapna Mehra, Ms.Rachna Rai & Ms.Amrita Rekhiraj shared how with a ‘never say die attitude’, they have turned their massive challenges into stepping stones. They attributed their success to their hard work, commitment & quality assurance as there are no shortcuts on the road to success.
The event culminated with a very inspirational question & answer round between the members & Swayam mentors & panelists moderated by Divya Oswal, immediate past chairperson.
