FLO Indore hosted a highly successful workshop titled “Illuminating Jadau-Polki Jewellery Craft” on August 28, 2024. The event featured a live demonstration of Jadau manufacturing, offering attendees an in-depth view of this traditional uncut diamond jewelry crafting process.
Over 100 participants were engaged as expert artisans from Rajasthan showcased the intricate steps involved, from designing on paper and creating molds to beating precious metals, setting uncut diamonds, and painting the jewelry’s back—a unique aspect of Jadau-Polki craftsmanship.
Chairperson Ar Vibha Jain Sethi, who conceptualized the workshop, praised the Punjabi Saraf Team and FLO members for their successful organization and commitment to fair trade practices. The workshop received positive feedback, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among FLO Indore members.
