The first formal event for the year 2022-23 started with an interaction with eminent dignitary Shri Tejasvi Surya on April 18, 2022 at FICCI.

Shri Tejasvi Surya is the National President of BJP Yuva Morcha & Member of Parliament. He is BJPs youngest Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha.

It was an excellent opportunity to hear the young, dynamic, and fiery political leader in conversation with a renowned media veteran. While addressing the audience, Shri Surya said that women entrepreneurship is one of the vehicles for realising a more equal society as more women take on entrepreneurship, it serves as a catalyst for socio-economic transformation.

She also added that Bhartiya Janta Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will hold a national conference shortly to empower women leadership in the country and promote gender-inclusive progress. “FLO will be focusing on the gender inclusive growth story of the nation by elevating the voices of women and enhancing their engagement in the entrepreneurial segment," said Jayanti Dalmia, President, FLO.

“There are 432 million women of working-age in India, out of which 343 million are employed in the unorganized sector. This is where our role and our interventions will be critical to the goal of women
empowerment,” she added.

The session was moderated by Mr. Annurag Batra Chairman, of BW Business world – the iconic 36-year-old business media and magazine brand.

Kamini Saraf, Governing Body Member was the Day Chair for the event.
