Interactive session with Dr. Preetha Reddy

FLO NE had a highly interactive session with Dr. Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals group, invited by Apollo hospitals Guwahati on 22nd September 2022 at Taj Vivanta, Guwahati.

Dr Reddy gave an illuminating talk on advanced health care facilities/diagnostic tools like PET scan etc, Apollo group will be providing in near future to the Northeast states for screening of cancer and other diseases. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death globally and the Northeast region has the highest incidence of cancer in India and is also burdened by inadequate cancer diagnostic and treatment facilities.

With strengthening of infrastructure, it would be possible to target specific cancers at the local, state, and regional level for Northeast India. The talk was followed by a lively and engaging question and answer session by the audience. The Apollo hospitals group Guwahati will be associated with FICCI FLO NE in the health care initiative if any, taken by the chapter in future. We are ever grateful to the Apollo group of Hospitals.
