FLO hosted a luncheon meeting with the delegation of Young Political Leaders from US, brought in by American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL), a nonpartisan non-profit organization founded in 1966.
The American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) program focuses on international educational exchanges for young political leaders worldwide. Each year, a group of young people poised to become global leaders and policy makers is selected for the exchange programme through a rigorous selection process.
The delegates interacted with FLO members and shared their experiences on the empowerment of women in their respective areas. The delegation also also looked at exploring the possibilities of tapping the social, cultural & economic opportunities in India, which would deepen the synergies between both the countries.
FLO President Archana Garodia Gupta briefed the delegation about FLO and its activities. She said “FLO is today, one of the most prestigious and recognized business organizations pertaining to women empowerment. Women empowerment is a common thread that connects FLO & ACYPL, besides social, cultural, economic & political objectives”.
She added that FLO would be delighted to explore the possibilities of:
Working jointly towards the common goal of women empowerment.
Entrepreneurs exchange programme, with the goal of promoting women entrepreneurship & professional excellence.
Organizing joint programme with the common modalities for capacity building & skill development programmes for women.
The interaction provided in-depth exploration of the issues pertaining to women empowerment and also focused on governance, politics, policy making, bilateral relations, culture and trade relations. This meeting was also an excellent platform to discuss about global leadership skills and enhance their understanding of international relations. It was also an opportunity to cultivate long-lasting synergies among FLO & ACYPL members, who are poised to become tomorrow’s global leaders and policy makers.
