Interaction with Australian Minister,Hon Zoe Bettison

FLO Ludhiana Chapter had a very engaging interaction Australian Minister Hon Zoe Bettison at Chandigarh. FLO was invited to take a delegation to interact with the Minister over tea, which was hosted by the Minister herself .

The status of women in Punjab vis a vis status of women in South Australia and future linkages that can be developed between both states . We had hand picked entreprenuerial delegates from education sector , hand tools , manufacturing , nutrition and skill facilitation industry to participate in this interaction.

The Minister graced the occasion in an Indian Salwar Kameez much to our surprise . She was very respectful towards our culture and appreciated Indian values in all aspects of life . We made an attempt to address the women issues in our region and discussed how South Australia can work with Punjab to address those issues for the immigrants in Australia and how we could benefit from the case studies in Australia and encourage our girls to participate in STEM . She shared with us a document as a suggested way forward on it .
