On the 16th of July 2019, the members of FICCI FLO – Bangalore chapter were invited to a sensory treat of a different kind. India’s first interactive music museum – IME ( Indian Music Experience ) opened its doors to the members before its official launch to the world in August.
The first-of-its-kind museum built on an area of 50,000 ft with interactive, permanent and temporary exhibits is spread across three floors. The vision of the museum is to increase the understanding and appreciation of the diversity of Indian music, from the traditional to the contemporary through exhibits, performances and learning activities.
10 exhibits that explore various facets of Indian music, from the traditional to the contemporary kept the members enthralled through the session. Over 100 musical instruments have been kept for public viewing and this museum will prove to be a great educational experience for both adult and children alike.
After the enriching tour of the museum, the members were treated to a specially curated South Indian high tea – complete with savory idli’s, dosas and filter kaapi.
