Delegation of Women Business Leaders from Phillipines and Signing of MoU with PhilWEN, Delhi & Hyderabad

FICCI FLO, under the leadership of National President Joyshree Das Verma, proudly hosted a delegation of 16 Women Business Leaders from the Philippines. This visit was part of the FICCI FLO International Affiliation India-ASEAN Women Business Forum (IAWBF), led by Past President Vinite Bimbhet, the India Chair for IAWBF. The delegation aimed to explore collaboration opportunities and strengthen business ties between women entrepreneurs from India and the Philippines. The delegation was headed by Pacita Juan, Co-Founding Chair of IAWBF, alongside Maria Cristina Concepcion, Chairperson of PhilWEN.

Hyderabad -September 8-9, 2024
Meeting with Telangana Government The delegation met with Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of ITE&C and I&C, Government of Telangana, at the Telangana State Secretariat. The discussion focused on collaborative business opportunities across various sectors, including industrial and tech opportunities.

Tour of FLO Industrial Park
A highlight of the visit was the tour of the FLO Industrial Park, India’s first 100% women-owned industrial park, which showcased FLO’s commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs.

B2B Meetings
The delegation participated in B2B meetings with industry leaders across various sectors, including AI, Fintech, Pharma, Hospitality, Handlooms, Food, Jewellery, and Web 3.0, facilitating potential collaborations.

Cultural Exposure
The delegation also engaged in cultural experiences, including a visit to Golconda Fort, a traditional Kuchipudi dance recital, and traditional meals hosted by Past National President Pinky Reddy and Past Chairpersons Usharani Manne and Uma Chigurupati.

Visit to Dixon Technologies

The delegation had the privilege of visiting Dixon Technologies (India) Limited, a leader in India’s electronic manufacturing services (EMS) sector. This visit was facilitated by FICCI FLO Governing Body Member Archna Luthra and provided the delegates with insights into India's manufacturing industry and the potential for cross – border collaborations in technology and innovation.

INDIA & ASEAN – SYNERGY – PARTNERSHIPS – COLLABORATIONS
In Delhi, FICCI FLO hosted an event titled INDIA & ASEAN SYNERGY, featuring anetworking session and a felicitation ceremony for women entrepreneurs from both Two FICCI FLO members, Past President Kavitha Dutt and Governing Body Member Roopa Patel, were recognized for their contributions, alongside two notable leaders from the Philippines Maria Cristina Concepcion – Former Chairperson, Filipina CEO Circle (FCC) and Pacita Juan – Trustee, PhilWEN & President, NOWCD. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including H.E. Mr. Guillermo Rubio Funes, Ambassador of El Salvador to India, H.E. Juris Bone, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to India, and Mr. Fares Saeb, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Israel in India.

Visit to ANSHUKAM 2024 & MoU Signing Ceremony
The delegation also attended ANSHUKAM 2024, the flagship textile and handloom exhibition organized by FICCI FLO. During the event, an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between FLO and the Philippine Women's Economic Network (PhilWEN). The MoU aims to enhance collaboration between women entrepreneurs in India and the Philippines, facilitating networking, capacity building, trade, investment, and advocacy for policies that promote women’s economic participation.
