Under the vibrant leadership of Chairperson Ridhi Jain, YFLO Hyderabad commemorated the 78th Independence Day with a grand celebration at The Iconic YFLO Statue of Empowerment & Glory, located at Mindspace Circle, Madhapur. The event brought together a dynamic mix of YFLO members, their children, past chairpersons, and distinguished guests, including the inspiring Ms. Divya Reddy Salla, a young philanthropist and entrepreneur, and Dr. Jalachari Ella, MD of Ella Foods and Head of Corporate Strategy at Bharat Biotech.
The highlight of the event was a heartfelt tribute to Deepthi Reddy, a past chairperson, honoured for her pivotal role in the installation of The Iconic YFLO Statue of Empowerment & Glory. This impressive 20-foot sculpture, unveiled on March 21, 2022, during YFLO’s 75th Independence Day celebrations, symbolises female strength and sacrifice. Crafted by renowned artist Avijit Dutta, the statue continues to inspire and honour women’s contributions to society. It was formally unveiled by Gadwal Vijayalaxmi, Mayor of GHMC, with Pinky Reddy, President of FLO, hailing it as a significant addition to Hyderabad’s cultural landscape.
The day’s festivities commenced with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by a moving rendition of the national anthem. Ms. Divya Reddy Salla and Dr. Jalachari Ella delivered poignant addresses. Divya Reddy spoke about the diverse ways individuals have fought for our freedom, highlighting the collective effort that has shaped our nation. Both guests reflected on the essence of freedom and societal empowerment, and addressed the recent tragedy in Kolkata that had deeply affected the nation.
Chairperson Ridhi Jain then delivered a compelling speech:
“Namaste. As we stand beneath our national flag, I am reminded of a powerful truth: our youth are the true strength of our nation. Their energy and vision have the potential to propel us to new heights. Seeing the vibrant faces here today fills me with immense pride and hope for our future.
Thank you all for being part of this celebration. Together, we not only celebrate our achievements but also renew our commitment to a stronger, more empowered future.”
The event also featured a special felicitation ceremony, where Ridhi Jain honoured Ms. Divya Reddy Salla, Dr. Jalachari Ella, and past Chairperson Deepthi Reddy for their exceptional contributions and leadership. The day concluded with a ‘meet and greet’ session, allowing attendees, including members and their children, to interact with the guests and celebrate the spirit of Independence Day.
This celebration highlighted the strength and unity within YFLO Hyderabad and reinforced a commitment to empowerment and community spirit, embodying the true essence of Independence Day.
