Income Tax Outreach Program

Under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Divya Abhishek, FLO Chennai, the organization actively participated in the Outreach and Awareness Programme on Faceless Assessments and Faceless Appeals organized by the Income Tax Department in Chennai. This initiative brought together key stakeholders to discuss challenges and solutions in India’s faceless tax administration system.

Attended by 60 people, the session was presided over by Smt. Jahanzeb Akhtar, IRS, Principal Chief Commissioner (NAFAC, NFAC, CBDT, New Delhi) and was organized by Dr. D. Sudhakar Rao, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax.

FLO Chennai, alongside representatives from the Revenue Bar Association, industry bodies, tax professionals, and legal experts, provided valuable insights and recommendations to enhance procedural efficiency and transparency in the faceless tax system. Discussions focused on streamlining tax processes, ensuring fairness in assessments, and strengthening taxpayer confidence in the digital framework. Smt. Jahanzeb Akhtar, IRS, emphasized the government’s commitment to continuously improving the faceless assessment mechanism and welcomed stakeholder suggestions to refine the system.
