FLO Hyderabad organised an interactive session titled “ Heroines of Dharma” on October 15th, 2024. The session featured Nilesh Nilkanth Oak and he shared a fascinating exploration of the Timeline of Indian Civilization, piecing together over 21,000 years of Hindu history based on astronomical references.
Nilesh Nilkanth Oaks highlighted key milestones such as the Rigveda dating back 21,000 years, the Mahabharata around 5,525 BC, and the Ramayana approximately 14,000 years ago. He also noted the geographical differences between the Mahabharata era and modern-day India, including the submersion of Dwaraka due to a sudden sea level rise in 5525 BC.
Oak touched on the unique observation of the Arundhati star walking ahead of Vasishta and the disappearance of the male population during the Mahabharata.
During his discussion on the Heroines of Dharma, Oak referenced key dialogues from the Vana Parva between Satyabhama and Draupadi, as well as historical figures like, Ahilya Bai Holkar, and Tarabai, emphasising their remarkable contributions.
The talk was a resounding success as it left the audience reflecting on the deep cultural and historical significance of India’s epics.
