The Event was well attended by 120 member’s the session was enlightening and gave the member clarity on various myth and facts.

• Breast Cancer is the most common cancer effecting women in India, with the ages 40-50 years being the peak
• Triple Assessment is essential – Clinical Examination + Assessment + Biopsy – requiring a Surgeon, Radiologist  Pathologist
• Oncoplastic Breast Surgery is suggested for any breast surgery
• Ultrasound Guided Core Needle Biopsy is required if there is lump in the breast
• Prolonged use of HRT can increase the chances of breast cancer
• Annual Screening Mammogram, underwire bras & deodorants do not cause breast cancer
• Right counselling during the diagnosis & treatment of breast cancer is necessary & crucial
• Be Breast Aware of any recent changes – painless lumps, blood stained discharge from nipples, excoriation around the nipple area, in drawing of the breast

• Always choose to fight your biggest battles happily & positively
• Focus on the smaller joys of your day & life if even when you are faced with the worst
• It is essential to be presented with the right scenario of the disease you are facing by a doctor
• Define how you will reach Point B from Point A, with a better quality of life
• Take one step at a time & celebrate every victory – big or small
• Do not overwhelm yourself with too much to handle
• It is important to be breast aware and know your breasts

• Regular Menstruation is not a norm, though clotting is abnormal
• Plastics are the main reason why EDCs are secreted, thus plastics in the sanitary napkins are dangerous – Change   over to cotton Napkins or Menstrual Cup
• Balance of hormones is very important & essential
• Prevention is better than cure when it comes pregnancy
• OC pills do not cause any major side side effects & are safe to use, as the dozes have been reduced as well
• HPV vaccine is recommended no matter what your age, and it is a lifetime immunity
• Routine investigations for healthy women – Self Breast Examination, Mammography, Pap smear Test, Ultrasound Abdomen, Routine Urine Analysis, CBP, Thyroid Function Test, Blood Sugar
• Menopause – A time for change, a chance to live stress free

• Skin not only protects your body, skin also gives you confidence
• Extrinsic factors effecting 80% skin aging- UV Rays, Smoking, Poor Nutrition, Stress, Pollution, Substance Abuse, Alcohol, Inadequate Sleep, Lack of exercise
• Skin becomes thinner as we age
• Moisturising the skin is mandatory no matter what your age
• Whether you are indoor or outdoor, sunscreen is essential
• Cleanse your face at least once in the night
• Toner & targeted serums must be added to daily routines
• Have realistic expectations for yourself, especially your skin

• Wearing heels is not a problem if you do not have knee pain or a bad foot
• Strengthen your muscles to prevent problems in the future
• Squatting & sitting cross legged should be avoided if one has knee pain
• Walking on treadmills without extreme incline is not a problem, but if one has knee pain, then no incline is advised
• Avascular necrosis, mostly effecting the hip, is primarily associated with long-term steroid use and alcohol consumption
• Knee cap is advisable when one is unstable/have a ligament tear
• If your muscles are active & you have a good diet, you do not need calcium supplements. Though is no harm in women post menopause starting calcium supplements, especially if one has
• family history of osteoporosis
• Rest is rust. Be active & you will have lesser health problems
