FLO Chennai has collaborated with representative for the Anna University Incubation, HACK4 Purpose as part of SDG of UN for entrepreneurs with participation of over 3000 colleges from Rural Areas.
The MSME vertical head, Geetha Premkumar (GPK), served as a panel judge at the HACK4PURPOSE 2024 event, held at the TAG Auditorium, Anna University, on June 26, 2024. This flagship event, organized by the DPurpose Foundation in collaboration with the Anna University Incubator, focused on fostering entrepreneurial innovation among the youth for a sustainable planet. The primary objective of HACK4PURPOSE 2024 was to harness the potential of today’s youth and provide them with the resources needed to bring their innovative ideas to life. The event emphasized aligning innovations with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations.
The event witnessed participation from 3000 colleges, primarily from rural areas across every state and union territory in the country. This outreach aimed to target students from less recognized colleges, ensuring diverse and inclusive participation.
With an impressive registration count of over 8500 participants, 46% of whom were women, the event successfully highlighted its inclusive nature.
From the total registrations, 100 startups were selected to receive cash prizes, encouraging further development and implementation of their ideas. The event concluded with great success, FLO and its contribution was notably recognized for her entrepreneurial insights and organizers of the event are looking for her continued support in future too.
