Greener Cleaner Smarter Environment

FLO Mumbai Chapter had conducted an event on Environment- an initiative to make it Greener Cleaner & Smarter.

It was an eye opening event wherein people were made aware as to how our lifestyle & use of plastics are contributing to environmental problems.

Guest Speakers:

Ms. Juhi Chawla – spoke about Menace of Plastic. She shared several videos showing condition of Versova Beach, Haji Ali Shoreline, Mithi River & Marine drive Beach.She informed that we are excessively using plastics which is spoiling our environment.She insisted we should substitute plastic with eco- friendly products.

Ms. Kunti Oza Founder & Chairperson of CLEAN MUMBAI FOUNDATION informed us that India is the 5th largest producer of E waste in the world.E waste is a mounting problem. She also informed that E waste has adverse effects on Health. She insisted on recycling E waste. She insisted on Placement of E-Waste Collection Bins at prominent public places to promote AWARENESS and COLLECTION.

Mr. Saurabh Shah – Vice President Environment & Biotech – Excel Industries spoke about recycling of waste from houses and converting in to manure.He also informed about various services available for collection of waste.

Ms. Vinodini Lulla – Vinodini is the founding coordinator of CMCA Mumbai, which began in 2004.She informed that CMCA undertakes active, experimental, trasnformational learning & learning through awareness campaigns.
