Green Skill Training Program at Institute of Cooperative Management

FICCI ladies organization (FLO) in association with Trikon Society inaugurated the Green Skill Training Program at
Institute of Cooperative Management. Under this program, 20 under privileged women have been trained to make a living as gardeners. The Vice President MDDA has assured that he would hire these women at MDDA under the skill development program. This is FLO’s second training program in association with Trikon Society. We at FICCI FLO constantly endeavour to work for woman empowerment and employment. A plantation drive was also conducted to  mark the World Environment Day. Saplings donated by the forest department of Uttarakhand were planted to mark the occasion. FICCI FLO- Uttarakhand members and other attendees took a pledge to stand true to the theme of & #39;Beat Plastic Pollution'. As a part of this pledge, members resolved to reuse non- disposable plastic, recycle waste, manage waste disposal, use sustainable environment-friendly products and become conscious green warrior. The gardening training has been conducted by Trikon society headed by Dr. Neha Sharma, FLO Uttarakhand member and be funded by FICCI FLO. A talk session was also held during the day. Speakers from Waste Warriors, Forest department, and JICA Japanese Organization were invited to speak on the occasion.
