Following YFLO Hyderabad’s CSR initiative of Go Green, Ms. Samia Alam Khan and YFLO committee members organised a programme on Tuesday, 8th December 2015 at 10:45 am at Glendale Academy, Hyderabad with Actor Rana Daggubati as the guest speaker and GO GREEN ambassador.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Grandson of Padmabhushan, Dr. D. Ramanaidu, son of producer D. Suresh Babu, and nephew to Telugu superstar Venkatesh, Rana Daggubati made a sensational debut as the lead actor in the political thriller ‘Leader’ in the year 2010. Having inherited a passion for cinema from his family, in 2006, Rana’s first film as a Producer “A Belly full of Dreams” won him the National Award for best film.
Given his drive for photography and cinematography coupled with his tremendous foresight, he identified an emerging need for digital postproduction services in the industry. His company Spirit Media is accredited with having transformed the evolution of the digital postproduction landscape in South India.
Rana hopes to carry on the family legacy, not just behind the camera but in front of it as well. His current film the magnum opus ‘Baahubali’, directed by the India’s ace director SS Rajamouli has become one of India’s most successful film globally. He is also starred in the period drama ‘Rudhramadevi’ directed by the eclectic Gunasekhar. His recent film in Hindi “Baby” with Akshay Kumar directed by Neeraj Pandey was a super hit as well.
KEY POINTS:
The programme ?started off with the planting of a tree by the guest and members at Glendale Academy premises.
Following that the speaker addressed the students and members on the importance of planting trees for a greener tomorrow and introducing them to the campaign against Global Warming.
The speaker also signed and read the GO GREEN pledge, inspiring everyone in the audience to contribute to a greener planet.
An enthralling speaker he also encouraged them to love what they do and put their best into it as that would define what they’ll do later in life.
Post that the speaker felicitated winners of a competition which had been organised earlier by YFLO as part of the initiative. It was an art and collage competition for children of Glendale Academy, Zilla Parishad High School Gachibowli ?, Kulsumpura Govt.High School & Erramanzil Govt.High ??School to spread awareness of plantations and counter ill effects of Global Warming.? ?The topic given to children was “Best of Mother Nature versus Worst of Human Nature”.
Going further members had an interesting and engaging time with speaker.
The session was very well attended, followed by a scrumptious lunch.
