As a part of the business Delegation to Telangana. a 30 member German delegation under the leadership of Hon’ble Minister Ms. Daniela Schmitt, Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture, and Viniculture of Rhineland-Palatinate, Mr. Hendrik Hering, President of the State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate, Ms. Michaela Küchler, Consul General of Germany in Chennai, Ms. Amita Desai, Hon. Consul General of Federal Republic of Germany in Hyderabad, members of the German State Parliament, and business leaders visited FLO Industrial Park (FIP), Sultanpur on October 24th, 2024.
Chairperson Priya Gazdar opened the meeting with an address on FLO Hyderabad’s initiatives in entrepreneurship and skill development. Ms. Michaela Küchler, Consul General of Germany in Chennai, introduced the delegation and shared their goals of exploring collaborations with FLO Hyderabad and the FIP. Hon’ble Minister Ms. Schmitt expressed interest in exploring partnerships across industries in Telangana.
Past Chairpersons Jyotsna Angara and Ajita Reddy shared insights into FIP’s development, operations, and recent milestones, including Innomet Ltd.’s oversubscribed SME IPO. They discussed FLO’s efforts to expand FIP into a Phase 2 project and to establish Centers of Excellence for women in manufacturing and entrepreneurship.
The delegation responded positively, especially to FLO’s proposals for joint ventures, skill development, and technology transfer, with plans for a detailed proposal for ongoing collaborations. FLO’s history of partnerships with Germany, including projects with the Hanns Seidel Foundation and GIZ, was also noted.
FIP industry representatives and delegation members engaged in discussions over a working lunch, and the event concluded with planned industrial visits, though time allowed only one visit. The visit was meticulously organized by FLO Hyderabad’s leadership team.
